bike trip genetics
several years after my brother anthony and i completed our coast to coast usa bike ride my dad sent me a newspaper clip of a ride he did in 1958 when he was 17.
my dad (william lawler, on the left) and his friend michael barton cycled from salisbury in rhodesia to the newly completed kariba dam which was about 240 miles away!
