hint: yes, it is stitching but i have never seen a joint in this location before...

My guess is that it's stitching underneath the padding in the sole of a shoe.

half way thru a roll of gaffer tape i discovered this joint.
i've never seen this before in tape, i wonder what the odds of finding a joint like this are...
