waning gibbous over goleta
Canon EOS 5D
sec
f 2.8
153 mm
the moon this eveining is waning gibbous which is 82% of a full moon...
(remember this for trivial pursuit ;)
i was stoked at how much detail i got at 200m (full exif above)
my work has a 500mm that i am going to try to borrow for the next full moon...

  • Wow, that is cool. Would you have gotten more detail if you had it set to a higher aperture?

  • you would get more detail with a longer lens :)

  • More detail? Mayb they want to see the aliens walking on it? :) I think it's cool.

  • very cool. as jason suggested, i'd go smaller. maybe f/8 or smaller. the glass will resolve better there. hook up that killer tripod you have.
