  • Wow, I really like this composition. There's something about how the plane and sky contrast yet blend that really works for me. Aviation always amazes me... I can't believe that thing can fly in the sky - wow.

  • The aircraft is a PV2 Harpoon, the detail is the upper turret faired over and the rectangular shape to the tail fin

  • It is indeed a PV2 Harpoon. The aircraft design was evolved from the Hudson/Lodestar family. Hence the confusion. This aircraft has been at its present location, Sonoma Valley Airport, since the late 1980s.
