kim grabbed cucas (shrimp quesedilla!) this evening and we went to shoreline park for dinner.
the girls had a blast on the swings but this "big" kid was king of the air!

  • oho! that is definitely some air!! i kinda have butterflies in my stomach just looking at it. terrific moment. tell me, were you tempted to clone out the trees? or even just crop it so it's just the boy and swing (although you probably wouldn't get the same sense of "air" if it's cropped too close.)

  • His expression is great, but the image makes my ankles hurt! I loved launching myself off swings all the time until I twisted my ankle bad as a kid. Guess it doesn't have much to do with commenting on the photo though... I like the fact that it looks like he'll land on the palms that line the beach!

  • He might be king of the air, but he still has to work at his carved in stone emotionless superman expression ;-). Great moment captured! It almost looks like in cartoons, where the moment before the character starts to fall down is dramatically emphasized.

  • Great shot! You 've definetely captured the moment here...

  • Sweet!!! Fab timing! Man, I remember when I had more guts than brain. I wonder when that switch happens? I look at this shot now and think "wow that looks fun, but man could he ever land on his face!" (never a though I had launching into the air). Nice one.
