here follows a google chat snippet from last night as i pondered starting the multi dvd pack of lost - the complete first season that chris mundell** lent me.

me: so do you watch lost?
Martyn: funny. ha ha. [dry hollow laugh]
i try not to, but wife sucks me in.
why, do you?
me: no but chris mundell gave me season 1 on dvd
Martyn: I think the show is stupid.

a little later, i turned the box over and noticed that the total running time is 1068 minutes.
holy moo! martyn just saved me 1068 minutes! that’s a lot of hours folks!

so i converted my macbook pro into a wacintel laptop today.
it was a snap to install microsoft windows xp on the macbook using apple’s beta bootloader called boot camp .
here are some photos of the fun including a shot of my macbook executing the famous and much loved blue screen of death or bsod as we geeks call it.
if you plan to try this at home, read on for a couple of tips and caveats…
